out of surgery!!
He is out of surgery! All is well and waiting to see him. Had to go back in and fix a smal hole they found after they took him off bypass. Went back and fixed again! Dr Gandy said that she was very pleased with the results . There is a mild leak in the right valve and a small hole going from the Right ventricle to the left atrium. They said they wil need to watch it and hoping it doesnt give us any trouble. Were waiting for him to get settled into the PICU and then we get to see him. Surgery lasted 7 Hours instead of the quoted 4 hours. We are praising GOD for carrying Mason through this and so so so glad to be on the other side. Thank you all for the thougts and prayers we have received. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

ReplyDeleteYour blog is great and your son is adorable! I was trying to figure out what type of heart defect your son had repaired. My son does not have Down Syndrome but does have AV Canal defect which is common with Downs kids. Glad to see he is doing so well!
